Our 2025 theme, “Reporting Resilience, Forecasting Hope,” draws inspiration from our keynote speaker, Mark McEwen, beloved former CBS news anchor, stroke survivor, and passionate health advocate. McEwen’s journey, marked by adversity, determination, and a triumphant return to purpose, mirrors the spirit of the patients you uplift through your support. His message will remind us all that even in the most challenging moments, hope is always breaking news.

We are also honored to share that beloved KLTV Chief Meteorologist Mark Scirto will join us for the luncheon. A trusted voice in East Texas and a stroke survivor himself, Scirto’s story embodies resilience and hope, making his presence especially meaningful at this year’s gathering. He will be sharing his personal journey with us briefly during the program, offering yet another powerful reminder that healing is possible and community makes the difference.
